Dean McGee counsels clients in the fields of civil litigation, municipal law, and business law.
After graduating first in his class at St. John’s University School of Law, Dean joined the international law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in its New York City office, where he litigated cases in state and federal court on behalf of Fortune 500 companies in the financial, pharmaceutical, entertainment, and hospitality industries. A significant portion of his practice was also dedicated to pro bono work, where he represented a criminal defendant facing federal narcotics charges, secured asylum for clients facing persecution in El Salvador and Sudan, and conducted a trademark violation investigation on behalf of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders). During his time at Simpson Thacher, Dean took a year off from private practice to serve as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge William H. He later served as an Assistant County Attorney, where he advised leaders of the Ulster County Government regarding litigation, contract negotiation, legislation, real estate transactions, and municipal law.
