Jennifer’s litigation knowledge was honed by several years of working directly for the courts. Prior to her work as an Assistant County Attorney, she spent two years serving as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Justice Ann Walsh Bradley of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. In that role, she worked on several high-profile cases, most notably suits challenging the state’s voter ID law, anti-union legislation, and domestic partnership statute.

Jennifer also spent several years as a court attorney for the NYC Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH), the tribunal which handles the majority of administrative cases for New York City. Due to her expertise in municipal law, part of her duties at OATH included training new judges in the various subjects covered by the tribunal. The expertise that she gained in that position also led her to publish a chapter on municipal procurement in a Westlaw treatise on Construction Law, a how-to article on disputing city contracts, and an academic article on New York’s Rules of Evidence.

Jennifer earned her BA and Master’s degree from Clark University, and her JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She is admitted to practice in New York and Wisconsin state courts and the U.S. Federal District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of New York and the Western District of Wisconsin. She has served on the board of the Ulster County Bar Association and the League of Women Voters of the Mid-Hudson Region and was the chair of the Ulster County Complete Count Commission.
